Most of us think of a sauna benefit as sitting in a nice sauna, sipping on water perhaps, watching the sweat slowly seep out of our pours. It feels good, but are we really aware that this forced moisture loss is also an excellent way to detoxify the body of impurities resulting in greater mental well-being?

People who do nutritional cleansing and detoxification regularly report that they experience greater mental clarity and energy. A sauna can greatly enhance this process.I like the idea that I can sit in a sauna knowing that it has a really deep cleansing affect giving my health a boost.To me, this is one more pleasurable thing I can do to keep depression from visiting me again like an obnoxious relative arriving at my doorstep, without warning, and staying for an indefinite amount of time.

One study on heart disease and Infrared Sauna therapy, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Vol. 38, Issue 4, pages 1083-1088, reported that repeated sauna treatment improves vascular function.
However, like many other so-called health-aids, many unsubstantiated claims regarding the alleviation of certain diseases as a sauna benefit are being made.General speaking, wild claims continue to be written about the benefits of alternative medicine. If we were to believe all that is written, we could close down most of the hospitals and send the doctors and nurses to be re-trained for other professions.Is there really such a thing as a sauna benefit?
My opinion is that, if infrared sauna therapy, or any other of the other ways to beat depression, provides benefits to you, then it works. If it doesn’t, try something else. There are some good online websites that you can follow for free information on different home remedies that have been effective for other sufferers in the past. But do try it for a reasonable amount of time before making your own conclusions.
And, this is very important: if you are doubtful at all, check it out with your doctor first before starting.
